A Starbucks barista, Braden Burson, tweeted a video (below) of himself on April 20 ranting against the new Unicorn Frappuccino drink.
The 19-year-old Colorado resident urged people not to order the sugary drink:
Because it's been so popular online, everyone's like, "Oh my gosh, I need to try it when it comes out." Well, today it came out, and I have to tell you: Please don’t get it! I have never made so many Frappuccinos in my entire life. My hands are completely sticky. I have unicorn crap all in my hair and on my nose.
I have never been so stressed out in my entire life. It has been insane. If you love us, as baristas, don't order it. It's so difficult to make. And people were coming in left and right, drive thru and in the front.

We don't know which type of Frappuccinos go where, we just hand them out. For the love of God and everything that is good, don’t get the Unicorn Frappuccino!
Burson told The Associated Press that he didn't expect that his video, which has been taken down and re-posted, would generate so much publicity. Burson added that his intentions were not to "downgrade" the Unicorn Frappuccino.
"It's a great drink," Burson added. "But it is difficult to make when there are like 20 fraps all at once both front and drive thru."
Starbucks said the public's reception of the drink has "exceeded everyone's expectations," and said it is contacting Burson "to talk about his experience and how to make it better."

Burson got plenty of support on Twitter, notes Mediaite.com:
I relate to this so well today has been one hell of a day for us baristas.
I totally get what [Burson] is ranting about. I worked part time one xmas eons ago when the mint chocy chip frappuccino came out. Yuck.
This connects with me spiritually as a barista today.
I totally feel your pain -- I was a barista when the strawberry and cream trap. Came out, same madness! Just a few more days!
A Starbucks sub-forum on Reddit has generated posts about the new drink from baristas and others:

I was told the Unicorn Frap had the sugar of three Snickers bars in it.
