College student Sam Galloway recently went out to go spear fishing and crayfish diving around Little Barrier Island in New Zealand when the group unexpectedly came across a pod of killer whales, The Huffington Post reported (video below).

Galloway filmed the encounter using an underwater camera, capturing stunning footage of the whales swimming through the shallow blue water. The video has since gone viral and has garnered more than 250,000 hits.

One of the ecstatic divers yelled “No way!” as they came out of the water.

According to New Zealand’s Department of Conservation, there are between 150 and 200 orcas living off of the island nation’s coast.
