Softball fans in Lafayette, Louisiana, took matters into their own hands (video below) when they were informed the national anthem would not be played before a game due to time constraints.

Before the third game of the NCAA Softball Regionals at Louisiana Lafayette, officials announced that to keep the games on schedule there would be no national anthem before the game, as is tradition at most sporting events.

Instead of letting the anthem go unsung, fans took it upon themselves to sing it and uphold the treasured American tradition. The team even respectfully paused its warm up to salute the flag and join in on the singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner."
