Mark Hyatt filmed two snakes hanging from his ceiling and reportedly having sex inside his home in Greenwood, South Carolina, May 31 (video below).
Hyatt posted the video on his Facebook page and wrote: "Yes, this is what I came home to today. I got one out (after some violent hand to hand combat,) but the other is lost in the house somewhere. Anyone want to come for a sleep over at my place tonight?"
WSPA notes that the snakes were hanging out of the attic.
In the video, Hyatt is heard saying: "Yes, that is what it looks like from my- Oh my God."
"Please don’t go in my bedroom," Hyatt asks the amorous reptiles. "You want to get out of here, don't you?"
Hyatt told WTVT that he tried to sweep one of the snakes out of his house three times, but it kept coming back. He finally picked the creature up and tossed it into the yard.
The homeowner said the second snake hid somewhere in his den, and he has not found it as of June 1. Hyatt is considering hiring professional help.
Hyatt said they were likely black snakes, which are good at keeping vermin away, but added, "I just don't want them in my house."
Hyatt isn't sure how the snakes got in, but said that he lives in an older home with many small entrances.
As usual, there were lots opinions on Facebook. Some commentators wrote:
Time to grab a pillowcase. You totally caught them in the act! Bet this goes viral...
You need a realtor!!!!! I have s friend who is one.
Dang. That is wild. What kind of snakes. How did they get in?
So you nuked the house right? Cool I thought so.
For some reason, a Rick James song going through my head now.
Bhahahaha!!!! I'm so sorry to admit that this made my day... I needed this, Mark. And, I would've grabbed them up and moved them to my house.
