Report: Duggars 'Heartbroken' Over Losing TLC Show, Believe God Wants Them Back On TV

The Duggar family is reportedly "heartbroken" that their reality TV show "19 Kids and Counting" was canceled by TLC after reports that their son Josh reportedly molested several underage girls, including some of his sisters.

An unidentified source told PEOPLE:

The Duggars want to return to TV because they truly believe it was part of God's plan for them to spread the word about their faith.

I think Jim Bob and Michelle honestly did expect people to just move on from this. Their thinking is, they put this behind them ages ago, so why wouldn't the rest of the world?

The Duggar children are reportedly devastated by the cancellation of the family's reality show because they enjoy being famous, claims another report.

"The kids like being recognized and hate that the show is going away," an unidentified source told InTouch Weekly, notes the Daily Mail.

The source also stated:

Some of the older kids in particular are really upset about the show's cancellation. These kids loved the spotlight and expected to be on TV forever.

They think TLC should have stuck by them. They just didn't get a lot of sympathy. They attacked everyone as part of their PR strategy, minimized what Josh did and turned it into an even bigger PR disaster.

They aren't who people think they are. Many people don't believe their righteous preaching anymore, and their community, the police, the child abuse advocates and their network are angry about how they've handled everything.

Some people in town look at them differently now, call them hypocrites. They don't believe Jim Bob and Michelle's version of the story and that all the victims have so easily forgiven Josh.

The Duggars are reportedly being paid to appear in an upcoming special about sexual abuse, but the source says: "Turning the family into crusaders of childhood sexual abuse has made a lot of people angry."
