| by David Bonner

Rapper Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, made headlines on March 15 with a bizarre tweet about first lady Melania Trump.

The full message reads: "Ayo [President Donald Trump] shut your punk a** up talking s*** about my uncle [Snoop Dogg] before we pimp your wife and make her work for us."

Rapper and actor T.I. also got in on the conversation, reports Breitbart News. On Instagram, he called Trump a “f***ing tangerine tanned muskrat scrotum skin, lacefront possum fur wig wearing, alternative fact, atomic dog diarrhea face a** man.”

The insults are the latest in a war of words following a recently released video by rapper Snoop Dogg, for his song "Lavender" which includes a scene with a mock assassination of the president, notes TMZ.

In the video, the president is depicted as a clown named "Ronald Klump," and Snoop Dogg shoots him with a toy gun that emits a "bang" flag.

Trump responded by firing off a tweet at 6:02 a.m. on March 15: "Can you imagine what the outcry would be if [Snoop Dogg], failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!"

Snoop explained his motivation to Billboard:

The ban that this motherf***er tried to put up; him winning the presidency; police being able to kill motherf***ers and get away with it; people being in jail for weed for 20, 30 years and motherf***ers that’s not Black on the streets making money off of it -- but if you got color or ethnicity connected to your name, you’ve been wrongfully accused or locked up for it, and then you watching people not of color position themselves to get millions and billions off of it.

It’s a lot of clown s*** going on that we could just sit and talk on the phone all day about, but it’s a few issues that we really wanted to lock into [for the video] like police, the president and just life in general ... Nobody’s dealing with the real issue with this f***ing clown as president and the s*** we are dealing with out here. So I wanted to take time out to push pause on a party record and make one of these records for the time being.

Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen weighed in on the video, calling it "totally disgraceful," adding that "Snoop owes the president an apology," reports NPR.

The Secret Service is reportedly "aware" of the video, notes The Wrap.
