Photo Of Kellyanne Conway In Velvet Cloak Goes Viral (Photos)

| by Jonathan Constante

Twitter users are sinking their teeth into Kellyanne Conway again after a photo of the counselor to the president wearing a "velvet cloak" surfaced online.

The picture was taken by a photographer during an interview with Conway at her Alpine home, the Daily Mail reported. It shows Conway playing with daughter Charlotte's hair.

But one Twitter user noticed something in the background: a framed photograph of Kellyanne Conway wearing what appears to be a hooded mink cloak. Franklin Leonard shared the image on Twitter with the caption "Um…"

The photo has thus far been retweeted more than 3,000 times and liked well over 10,000 times. Several Twitter users gave their two cents and offered theories as to what the glamour shot meant.

"Is this what's known as Jedi chic, or just working on her alternate fact mind tricks for the dark side?" wondered one Twitter user.

"OMG She IS a Disney villain," concluded another.

"When she was heading out to give Snow White an apple," wrote another Twitter user, referencing the classic Disney film "Snow White."

While most of Twitter dished out jokes about the photo, one user urged people to focus on more important things.

"Let's not get personal & focus the attacks on policy n credibility," tweeted one user.

This isn't the first time Conway has been subjected to criticism over a picture. She was recently photographed kneeling on a couch in the Oval Office to take pictures of President Donald Trump meeting with leaders of historically black colleges and universities.

The photo went viral, with several users claiming she was being disrespectful and unprofessional. Conway addressed those comments, saying she meant "no disrespect," and was just trying to capture the moment, according to the Daily Mail.

She was also dragged through the coals on Twitter after a recent interview with Bergen County Record columnist Mike Kelly, where she spoke about the president's allegations that former President Barack Obama wiretapped his phones during the 2016 election, USA Today reported.

"What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other," Conway said. "You can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through their television sets."

Conway added that there are "microwaves that turn into cameras."

"The investigation is about a bunch of people who can't believe that [former Secretary of State] Hillary Clinton lost the election," Conway added. "I talked to people in Macomb County, Michigan, not in Moscow."
