MTV News released its "2017 Resolutions for White Guys" video (below) on Dec. 20, which is stirring outrage and accusations of racism against MTV.
The video features people of different colors and races offering their unsolicited advice to white males:
First off, try to recognize that America was never "great" for anyone who wasn't a white guy. Can we all just agree that Black Lives Matter isn't the opposite of All Lives Matter? Black lives just matter. There's no need overcomplicate it. Also, Blue Lives Matter isn't a thing. Cops weren't born with blue skin, right? I mean? Yeah, they weren't born blue! Stop bragging about being "woke." Stop saying "woke." Learn what mansplaining is, and then stop doing it.

The Complex noted in June that "woke" is a term to describe the awareness felt among black people when they realized how American society was prejudiced against them.
The video also defends Beyonce for speaking out about black issues, but offers to give up Kanye West, who endorsed President-elect Trump.
The video also tells white guys that just because they have black friends, those friendships don't mean that white guys are not racist. One woman in the video says that some white guys are doing OK, but some are not.
Mediaite.com notes that popular alt-right Twitter personality Mike Cernovich fired back: "MTV's racist 'white men video' was a viral hit. That's all the left sells - hatred. No other message. No vision. No life. A cult of death."

White supremacist and Trump supporter David Duke tweeted an anti-Semitic response: "MTV is an anti-White, hate propaganda machine that is owned and operated by Jewish Supremacists who hate America and Christianity. #MAGA."
Some of the other tweets were mixed;
"Not saying I agree with that MTV video at all but omg it is soooo hilarious how many white dudes I know have tweeted about it. I'm dying."
"MTV should be shut down for this s***. none of the points you touched on even made sense for why white males should be 'better.' just delete."
"MTV release disgusting video lumping all 'white guys' together as some kind of pantomime villain. Apparently this brand of racism is okay."
