A mother didn't realize what was wrong with her 5-year-old son's Christmas sweater until the child's kindergarten teacher pointed it out to her.
The woman reportedly sent her son to school wearing a festive Christmas sweater with a picture of a Santa apparently urinating the words "Merry Christmas" in yellow cursive font, according to the Daily Mirror.
After realizing what she had done, the mother posted a photo of her son donning the "naughty" sweater while standing in front of a Christmas tree on the Imgur photo sharing site that's attached to social forum site Reddit.
The caption on the Dec. 15 post on both sites read, "Accidentally sent my son to school with his newly bought Christmas sweater. Didn't realize what Santa was doing until his kindergarten teacher pointed it out when I picked him up after school."
The boy's parents reportedly took the photo after bringing their son home from school.
The photo has since gone viral on Imgur, where it was viewed more than 2.6 million times in one day. In that time, the Reddit post with the photo garnered more than 460 comments.
Commenters responding to the post expressed their amusement.
"You can't wear that when urine school apparently," one poster joked.
"Santa pees cursive better than I write it," another said.
Other commenters wondered why the sweater was sold in children's sizes.
The mother, who posted under the username "AngryHamzter," said her son didn't notice what Santa was doing on his sweater but "couldn't stop giggling" after she told him.
Her husband, who posted under the same username, explained that his wife had quickly picked out the sweater for their son at the mall over the weekend of Dec. 12-13 so he could have something to wear for his school's "ugly sweater" day.
According to the post, the child's teacher said another boy in the class had worn the same sweater.
