The next time your coworker inexplicably throws away your lunch, hold off on the passive aggressive email – “I really don’t understand how you made the mistake, but I’m sure it was just a misunderstanding :)" – and ship them glitter instead. Seriously.
Australian entrepreneur Matthew Carpenter has devised a ridiculous and apparently popular way to get back at your enemies. You just send them a letter full of glitter. When whoever was foolish enough to slight you opens the letter, they get a lap full of glitter and a snarky note.
Reddit user MegaAlbus1 was on the receiving end of one of these letters recently. It’s not clear who he wronged, but he annoyed them enough to receive a glitter-filled letter that starts like this:
“Dear Terrible Human Being,
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
Congratulations – you’ve pissed someone off so much that they went out of their way to pay me to send you the worst thing you can ever receive in an envelope: mother f*cking glitter. Some poor idiot works 8 hours a day, 5 days a week to support themselves and you’ve been that much of an asshole that they paid me to send this to you.”
It only gets better from there. Here, courtesy of reddit user MegaAlbus1, is the letter:
While this whole idea may seem like a ridiculous publicity stunt, it actually proved profitable for Carpenter. He recently sold the rights to shipyourenemiesglitter.com for $85,000, Inquisitr reports.
