Rapper Kanye West's reported meltdown backstage at “Saturday Night Live” on Feb. 13 has been leaked (video below).
Audio of the meltdown was obtained from an anonymous source by Page Six, which noted that West called Taylor Swift a “fake a--.”
"Look at that s---, they took my f----- stage off of SNL without asking me," West says in the beginning of the clip.
West appears to say that he is “50 percent more influential” than movie director Stanley Kubrick, Paul the Apostle (from the Bible), painter Pablo Picasso and the late drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.
Popular VideoThis judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:
West goes on to yell, "Don’t f--- with me! Don’t f--- with me! Don’t f--- with me! By 50 percent dead or alive, by 50 percent for the next 1,000 years. Stanley Kubrick.”
An unidentified source told Page Six, “It was like he was having an emotional breakdown. He was calling the crew ‘white motherf-------’ and then said he was going to walk out. The only thing that stopped him from actually leaving right then was that nobody had access to the freight elevator. If he’d walked out on the live show, it would have been a disaster. And the whole meltdown was just because of the floor. ”
A rep for West told Page Six the rapper did not call the crew “white mother------.”
An unidentified source close to West told Complex.com:
"He did not yell at 'SNL' staff. This audio was secretly recorded while he was venting his frustration in a private moment with his team. He found out his stage design was changed and taken apart under the direction of the show's lighting director without anyone's approval.
"He had spent an entire day rehearsing and a lot of hard work into the performance. Dramatic set changes were made 30 minutes before going live. It should be understandable why he was upset after being completely blindsided.
"Kanye was seen hugging Lorne Michaels just before the goodnights and he stayed afterwards to chat with the staff and the cast, and thanked the producers on his way out the door."
West may have recently lost $10 million due to problems of the online release of his latest album, “The Life of Pablo,” and mass illegal downloading.
