Multi-award winning country singer Miranda Lambert revealed in a recent interview that her marriage to “The Voice” coach and fellow country star Blake Shelton can be tough because of their busy schedules, but claimed it only brought them closer than they have ever been.
Between her tours and his stint on the singing competition, Lambert, 31, admits they hardly spend time together. And while co-headlining a tour would be the obvious solution, she says that would take a lot of compromises for both of them.
"It's interesting being married to an artist because we have two ways of doing everything, him and I," Lambert told NOLA.com. "From our management and fans, from the way we write to the songs we pick — but it's fun to watch because both ways work. ... I don't know what's the best way to get there, but I know it's a lot of work and you have to be willing to put it in."
Lambert says spending some time apart actually makes her and Shelton, 38, work harder to keep in touch.
“You have to talk on the phone and text each other and be intimate, but rely on them in a different way,” she told NOLA.com. “It works, if you’re up for it. It’s not for everybody.”
Even after four years of marriage, Shelton and Lambert divorce rumors are continuously making headlines as according to OK! Magazine’s tabloid report in March, she hooked up with fellow artist Chris Young.
However, the report is a complete fabrication as days after the story ran, Shelton and Lambert appeared together on stage in Kansas to perform love songs.
