"Eye of the Tiger" played over loud speakers today at a rally outside the Carter County Detention Center in Kentucky to celebrate Kim Davis' release from prison (video below), however, one of the song's co-writers is upset that the song was used.

The 1982 hit, which appeared in the film "Rocky III," played as GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee brought Davis onto a stage while a crowd cheered, reports NBC News.

Survivor band member Frankie Sullivan, who co-wrote the song with Jim Peterik, stated on Facebook:

NO! We did not grant Kim Davis any rights to use "My Tune -The Eye Of The Tiger." I would not grant her the rights to use Charmin!

C'mom Mike, you are not The Donald but you can do better than that -

See Ya really SoooooooonnnnnnN!!!!!!...

It's not clear what Sullivan meant by the last line, but he did sue newt Gingrich for using the song during his presidential race, noted NBC Chicago in 2012.
