'Entourage' Star Sparks Controversy For 9/11 Memorial Post

| by Sean Kelly

"Entourage" actor Adrian Grenier sparked outrage with a controversial 9/11 memorial post that paid tribute to Iraqis who died as a result of the Iraq invasion and subsequent war.

Grenier’s message was posted on Instagram on the night of the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

“R.I.P the 2,996 Americans who died in 9/11,” the message read. “R.I.P. the 1,455,590 innocent Iraqis who died during the U.S. invasion for something they didn’t do.”

The post quickly garnered backlash, with many blasting his choice to mention Iraqis on the anniversary.

“Shame @adriangrenier posting this kind of thing on any day, much less this one,” one Twitter user commented. "Free speech, not insensitivity.”

“You waited all day and posted something so classless,” another wrote. “#Pitiful man.”
