Since the animated Disney film “Frozen” was released in November 2013, many children want a chance to build a snowman. So when forecasts for a late January blizzard turned out to be inaccurate, one little girl in Maryland was disappointed.

Sophia White’s grandfather, Allen Queen, of Providence, Rhode Island, had the idea of delivering her a truckload of snow after a trip to see his 4-year-old granddaughter in Glen Burnie, Maryland, was delayed because of the snowstorm.

“As the storm came, or rather didn't come, and I was talking to my dad on the phone I casually mentioned to him that I wished I could teleport Sophia up to him with his 18 inches of snow since all she wanted to do was build a snowman,” Sophia’s mother, Nicole White, told The Capital Gazette.

That’s when Sophia’s “Poppy” packed his truck full of snow and drove nearly 400 miles south.

“When he got here, he had a tarp over the back of his truck, and I kept asking what was in the back,” White said. “He just kept telling me not to worry about it — it was something for work.”

When Queen finally told Nicole, they told Sophia that Elsa from the movie “Frozen” put the snow in the back of the truck and let her stay home from school the next day to play in the snow.

Sophia’s father, Julius White, helped Queen shovel out the snow so the little girl could finally create her snowman.

“Everything else in the neighborhood has melted and is pretty dry,” Julius said. “Then there's just this random snowman in our yard. He's a little shorter than he was, but he's still there.”
