A 10-year-old boy who was diagnosed with terminal cancer had one last wish on his bucket list: Meet magician David Copperfield.
Aiden Davis has been battling cancer since he was 3, and his family set out on a social media campaign to help make his dream come true.
According to a Facebook page called “Prayers For Aiden Davis,” doctors told the boy’s parents that the disease had spread into his pelvis and that he had only a couple of months to live.
When Copperfield learned about Aiden’s wish, he flew the boy and his family to Las Vegas and surprised them at their hotel room.
Aiden, who has never been inside a limousine before, went for a ride to the famous Las Vegas sign, where he and Copperfield took their first picture together.
Aiden and his family spent the rest of the day sightseeing with Copperfield, who took them to his “secret lair,” a private tour of his museum dedicated to the history of magic.
The family then finally got to see the magician perform during a magic show at the MGM Grand Las Vegas, and the experience left Aiden mesmerized.
Copperfield then took the boy backstage to try out a magic trick and even gave him a director’s chair with Aiden’s name on it to keep as a souvenir.
The magician ends the video above by thanking Aiden, saying: “Aiden inspired us all with his strength, courage and perseverance. His vibrant spirit allows us to see things in a new, wonderful way. What an amazing gift.”
