Cyclists Crash Into Car, Motorcycle During Race (Video)

Cyclist Matt Brammeier crashed into a white support car during the Tour of Utah race on Sunday (video below).

Brammeier, who cycles for MTN-Qhubeka, was flying down Guardsman's Pass when he hit the car, reports

Moments later, two more cyclists crashed into a motorcycle.

Brammeier was taken to a local hospital with multiple injuries.

“Thankfully, Matt has suffered no head, neck or spinal injuries and is currently stable in hospital,” Jarrad van Zuydam, a team doctor, said in a press release, notes Velo News. "His musculoskeletal injuries are significant however."

“His musculoskeletal injuries are significant, however," van Zuydam added. "He suffered rib fractures on both sides as well as a small pneumothorax. He also has fractures of the sacral and pelvic bones."

No word on the other two cyclists.
