Couple Gets Married In Grocery Store On Thanksgiving (Video)

| by Michael Allen

Charles Larry Tinson and Mary Tinson were married on Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving Day) inside Harvey's Supermarket in Albany, Georgia, where they met four years ago (video below).

Ken Wicker, Harvey's V.P. of Operations, told WALB: "To our knowledge this is the first time we've ever had a real wedding in one of our supermarkets."

"She asked me where are we going to get married at, and I said at Harvey's where I met you at," Larry recalled.

In 2012, Larry had returned from serving his country in Afghanistan and was looking for cranberry sauce for his Thanksgiving dinner.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

"I heard someone say, 'Hey girl' and I turned around and I said, 'Oh my God.' I said, 'Larry? I have not seen you in over twenty something years,'" Mary told the news station.

While the couple had previously met a few times before, that grocery store meeting was the catalyst for their romance.

"You can kind of tell when a man has a crush on you," Mary told the news station. "But he never did say anything to me."

The grocery store served as the wedding venue, and the caterer of the reception, which included cranberries on the couple's cake.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true:

"We're extremely excited to be a part of that special day," Wicker said.

There was also live music on hand to serenade the couple and their 70+ guests.

"On Thanksgiving, I mean we all have things to be thankful for," Wicker added. "We appreciate them allowing us to be a part of this special moment."

Keeping with the grocery theme, guests were each given a can of cranberry sauce as a gift.

"On Thanksgiving Day, [Larry] said what he wanted to do is give thanks to the Lord for the old going out and the new coming in," Mary stated.

The Tinsons are not the only ones to have an unusual wedding.

Josh and Ting Li met in a New York City Apple store, and were wed there on Feb. 14 (Valentine's Day) in 2010, noted The Daily Telegraph.

The couple dressed their priest like the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs, and recited their vows from iPhones, which included this quote from Jobs: "You have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something -- your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down."
