Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce, reveals herself for the first time and spoke to Vanity Fair about her new identity.

Jenner, 65, graced the cover of Vanity Fair to reveal her brand-new body just a month after announcing to the world that she is transgender. Jenner's first post-transition pictures were taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Formerly known as Bruce, Jenner was a praised Olympic athlete and later a reality television star. Now, Caitlyn is sharing her story with the world.

“That was a good day, but the last couple of days were better,” Jenner said in a video that accompanies the Vanity Fair article. “This shoot was about my life and who I am as a person. It’s not about the fanfare, it’s not about people cheering in the stadium, it’s not about going down the street and everybody giving you ‘that a boy, Bruce,’ pat on the back, OK. This is about your life.”

“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,’ and I don’t want that to happen,” Jenner explained to the magazine. She underwent a 10-hour facial-feminization surgery in March.

Jenner’s famous Kardashian stepchildren, as well as her children from a previous marriage, and her estranged wife Kris, have all reportedly expressed their support in the wake of her transformation.

“Bruce always had to tell a lie,” Jenner said. “He was always living that lie. Every day he always had a secret from morning till night. Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets. Soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.”
