Brie Larson, who won the Best Actress Oscar in 2016, didn't applaud or seem happy when she announced that Casey Affleck had won the Academy Award for Best Actor for "Manchester By The Sea" on Feb. 26 (video below).
The reason may be that Affleck was sued for sexual harassment by two women who worked with him on the film "I’m Still Here" in 2010, according to BuzzFeed News.
One of the women asserted in her lawsuit that Affleck got into her bed in the middle of the night and that she woke up to find him "caressing her back."
Affleck denied all the claims against him, and settled both lawsuits out of court. A spokesperson for the actor said: "The disputes have been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties and the lawsuits are being dismissed."

Several Twitter users noted Larson, who has strongly advocated for sexual assault victims, was not happy and shared their views of Affleck:
Casey Affleck should not have won. People who commit sexual harassment should lose their jobs, not be celebrated with honor and prestige.
Casey Affleck won Best Actor. Donald Trump is president. Tell me again how sexual assault charges can "ruin" a man's career.
My aesthetic: Brie Larson not clapping for literal trash hole casey affleck.

BRIE LARSON NOT CLAPPING IS MY HERO.
lmao ok but brie larson not clapping after she announced casey affleck added 10 years onto my life.
anyway y'all made brie larson, an advocate for sexual assault survivors, present casey affleck, a sexual predator, with an oscar.
Most of the Oscar drama continues to be on Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty for awarding the Best Picture Oscar to the wrong film, "La La Land," instead of "Moonlight."
Unidentified sources told TMZ that trouble between the "Bonnie and Clyde" co-stars was brewing during rehearsal on Feb. 25.
Dunaway reportedly demanded that she read the winning film for Best Picture.
According to the sources, the two Oscar winners refused to walk on stage together during rehearsal to block for the cameras, and walked on the stage separately instead.
TMZ noted the tension between the Hollywood icons during the actual presentation, which quickly turned disastrous.
Extra asked Dunaway what happened after the awards show, and she replied: "I'm not going to speak of that. Warren is the right one."
The gossip show asked Beatty, and he replied, "I don't know."
