Two boycotts have sprung up to protest TLC's upcoming three-part Duggar family special: "Jill & Jessa: Counting On." The special was recently promoted with a clip of Anna Duggar, Josh's Duggar's wife, which has added fuel to the fire (video below).
The Duggar family lost their TLC show "19 Kids And Counting" over the summer due to Josh's child molestation scandal and criticism of his parents' handling of it. Now, the Facebook group "No More Duggars" has successfully campaigned to keep over 760 companies and brands from advertising during the special featuring Jill Duggar Dillard, her sister Jesse Duggar Seawald, their husbands and Anna (pictured), according to StarPulse.com.
Members of the "No More Duggars" page started a new boycott page on Facebook entitled, "Take The Pledge Boycott All Discovery Channels" on Nov. 22, which affects 13 U.S. cable channels owned by the company.
"Like this page to take the pledge on Dec 13, 20 and 27 2015 join us in boycotting all Discovery network channels for the one hour they are airing the TLC show Jill & Jessa Counting on 8/7 c," the Facebook page states. "This family minimized childhood sexual abuse showing victims they do not matter."
