Beyonce may be pregnant with twins, but that's not stopping some people from calling her "fat" after a few new photos of the singer emerged on April 20.

The visibly pregnant singer was reportedly attending the birthday party of Roc Nation Senior Vice President Lenny Santiago. Roc Nation is Beyonce's husband, Jay-Z's, music label.
Also in attendance was fellow Destiny's Child alumni Kelly Rowland. But it wasn't Rowland or Jay-Z who caught any criticism.
When the photos surfaced, Twitter users chimed in, calling her "fat as hell," "obese" and even "swollen."

"She doesn't even look like beyonce!" says one Mirror comment.
But it wasn't long before internet users jumped to her defense and outnumbered the haters.
"She's carrying two lives," one person wrote. "That's more precious than anything... anyone shaming her for the way she looks should be ashamed of themselves.. shallow, small minded idiots!"
Another pointed out that it's normal and healthy to gain weight during pregnancy and urged people to "stop fat shaming pregnant women" because "she is doing what comes naturally."
"Well she's carrying twins so it's no big deal if shes put on weight," commented one Facebook user. "I'd be concerned if she was stick thin. But why does someones weight matter to others???"
"Imagine she was skinny and pregnant they will still complain," wrote another person. "That's life. People will always have something good or bad to say. Bottom line is she is in good health and the babies too. Who cares [about what] some low lives have to say."
The "Lemonade" singer has been staying away from the limelight during her pregnancy, which one source told Radar Online was because she was insecure about her size.
"She is just not happy about how much weight she's gained and does not want anyone to see her like this," a source reportedly told Radar. "This is why she didn't want more kids for so long in the first place!"
Despite this, Beyonce and her family are reportedly handling the pregnancy well.
"This pregnancy has brought Beyonce and Jay Z so much closer together and he is just glowing every time he talks about her," added the source. "They are both really excited for the twins and these kids will be extremely lucky babies."
