Indians' Grady Sizemore Done for the Season

| by Off The Record

The Cleveland Indians are one of the best teams in baseball and it seems like they just got even better. Outfielder Grady Sizemore, who used to be one of their decent players, will miss the rest of the season after undergoing a microfracture procedure on his knee.

Sizemore was on fire for the Tribe, hitting a scorching .211 to go with 13 RBI’s. How will the Indians replace this kind of production and maintain their 14-games-under-.500 status? At 19-33 and a AL Central division-leading 11 games out of first place in the AL Central, they can’t afford to cool down.

There also could be a power outage in Cleveland without Sizemore. He hasn’t hit any HR’s this year, but it doesn’t look like he will hit one any time soon at this point.

Sizemore is expected to take six to nine months to recover. We won’t see him again until Spring Training. As of right now, Trevor Crowe has taken over.
