Should the U.S. Senate Seat Roland Burris?

| by DeepDiveAdmin

Roland Burris, the former Illinois Attorney General, sits at the chaotic crossroads of Shakespearean drama and good, old-fashioned American politics. Appointed by Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Burris is in line to fill Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat and become the body's only African-American member. But due to startling corruption charges that allege Blagojevich was trying to sell the seat to the highest bidder, Democrats and President-elect Obama said the appointment was tainted. However, Burris won't go quietly, some Democrats seem to be wavering and conservative group Judicial Watch just filed a lawsuit saying the Senate's refusal to seat Burris is unconstitutional.

What is the best course of action? Should the United States Senate seat Roland Burris?
