In New Jersey a shark beached itself on a crowded beach today. No one know exactly why the shark, about 4 foot long, beached itself, literally coming up on the sand. Amid all the screams, no one was hurt in the New Jersey beach town of Seaside, although the lifeguard did close the beach.
The shark swam up on the beach, lingered for a few minutes and then swam back out to sea. While no one was hurt, many were shaken and several left the beach following the surprise visit. Some are afraid that this may hurt the beach season - generally people don't like swimming with sharks and don't want to frequent the same waters, however, it's Jersey, I am betting that many more will come to see if the shark returns, perhaps taking bets or even starting a new trend around it .....never bet against Jersey!
