I ask you, how much beefcake can one movie handle?
We are about to find out because two of Hollywood’s reigning hunks, Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper, are teaming up!
They both have starred opposite Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock in romantic comedies so it’s high time they find themselves together on screen.
Only, darn it, it’s not a romantic comedy this time around.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, this delicious duo are attached to star in an untitled original action-comedy from Up in the Air co-writer Sheldon Turner.
The story follows two friends, who are also San Francisco cops, whose fathers were once partners on the police force. The older generation is forced out of retirement to help their sons crack a case, with typically antagonistic results.
The film is meant to have an updated, edgy (and R-rated!) Lethal Weapon flavor.
I demand shirtless scenes, that’s all I’m sayin.
Bradley’s hit films include The Hangover, Wedding Crashers, Failure to Launch, He’s Just Not That Into You and this year’s The A-Team and Valentine’s Day.
Ryan’s impressive filmography includes Van Wilder, The Proposal, Buying the Cow, Blade: Trinity, X-Men: Orgins: Wolverine, Definitely, Maybe, Just Friends and next year’s The Green Lantern.
