Rush "Dumpling" Limbaugh Schools First Lady on Obesity

Several weeks ago, Rush Limbaugh found himself, once again, on the wrong side of Stephen Colbert’s rapier wit. Limbaugh had done an impression of Hu Jintao, President of the People’s Republic of China, on his radio show the previous day. On the Colbert Nation, the following day, Colbert exposed Limbaugh's idiocy, brilliantly and, in doing so, referred to Mr. Limbaugh as the "world’s most famous man dumpling”.

Limbaugh, admittedly, has struggled with weight issues all of his adult life. In 2009, he lost 80 pounds, in just 21 weeks, baffling the nutrition professionals around the country. “How on Earth did Rush do it?” “It defies the very Laws of Nature!” “He must have snuck off and had Lap-band surgery”, the internet bloggers speculated. This article from the nutritional expert at CalorieCount.about.com, titled “Lessons Learned From Rush Limbaugh's Weight Loss”, is a good example of the controversy that surfaced concerning the rapidity of Mr. Limbaugh’s weight loss.

As Stephen Colbert has observed, Limbaugh’s 2009 weight loss was short lived. While Mr. Limbaugh may not have gained all of the weight back that he was carrying - he reportedly weighed 290 pounds at the 2009 CPAC convention (see photo above) - it’s pretty obvious, from the “dittocam” pictures that are posted daily on his website, that he has gained most of that 290 pounds back. It is "no wonder" that Mr. Limbaugh never speaks about his super duper diet anymore. Maybe Mr. Limbaugh should consider asking his bariatric surgeon for his money back.

Regardless of Rush’s own weighty, man dumpling predicament, it doesn’t stop the man with the “glorious naked body” (what a hoot) from hypocritcally criticizing others for fun and profit. Mr. Limbaugh’s most recent target? First Lady Michelle Obama.

"The problem is, and dare I say this, it doesn't look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary dietary advice. And then we hear that she's out eating ribs at 1500 calories a serving with 141 grams of fat per -- (interruption) What do you mean, what do I mean? (interruption) No, I'm trying to say that our first lady does not project the image of women that you might see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue or of a woman Alex Rodriguez might date every six months or what have you. I mean women are under constant pressure to look lithe and Michelle (My Belle) is out there saying if you eat the roots and the tree bark and the berries and all this cardboard stuff, you'll live longer, be healthier, and you won't be obese. Okay, fine, show us. I haven't seen any evidence here that, if that advice is being followed, that it works."

Here’s a little harsh reality for Mr. Limbaugh. First Lady Michelle Obama is an athletic, well nourished female that was born with the “pear shape” body type. It looks good on her. Rush Limbaugh, on the other hand, is a non athletic, poorly nourished male that has over fed, and under exercised his body into a couch potato mess. It completely invalidates his right to criticize others about their weight issues. That is, of course, unless he enjoys being the world’s most rotund “man dumpling” hypocrite.
