Rush Limbaugh: I'll Leave U.S. if Health Care Passes
For those of you who don't like Rush Limbaugh, here's another reason to hope health care reform passes -- Limbaugh said he will leave the country if a bill passes.
Here's the exchange with a caller during his show on Monday:
CALLER: If the health care bill passes, where would you go for health care yourself? And the second part of that is, what would happen to the doctors, do they have to participate in the federal program, or could they opt out of it? [...]
LIMBAUGH: My guess in even in Canada and even in the UK, doctors have opted out. And once they’ve opted, they can’t see anybody Medicare, Medicaid, or what will become the exchanges. They have to have a clientele of private patients that will pay them a retainer and it’ll be a very small practice. I don’t know if that’s been outlawed in the Senate bill. I don’t know. I’ll just tell you this, if this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented — I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica.
Here's a link to the rest of the conversation.

Just like all the rest of his hot air! He is not going anywhere. There is not another country that will afford him the opportunity to fleece as many people as he does here.
How does Rush fleece people?
Radio is free. This means we can listen without paying. How does Rush fleece people with a free service?
Fleece- n.
1. To defraud of money or property; swindle.
2. To shear the fleece from.
3. To cover with or as if with fleece.
What are you talking about? Did your hate clog up your brain as you were typing?

you how Limbaugh's plans are coming along for his move?
Since you listen to his show already, call and ask.
I know you listen to his show, because you claim to know what he talks about... Unless you are just faking it and parroting others who do. You wouldn't be a mindless sheep, would you?

SS, you KNOW that I could not let this go! I just wondered, he seemed so sincere. And no I don't listen to him, wouldn't know where to go to listen to him! I guess I am a mindless sheep. SInce I haven't heard any news stories about his great revelations, is he still leading his flock? You are one of his people aren't you..............just sayin
My step-dad spends the night. He is a conceited, self-aggrandizing blowhard. I much prefer to listen to Hannity or Beck or Savage, in that order. Funny thing though, I cannot stand to watch Beck's TV show. Go figure.
I wouldn't call myself one of 'his people', no. I do know that he is far more honest than Obama.
:) I knew you couldn't let it go. I wouldn't have let it go if any of those Hollywood personalities who promised to expatriate if McCain won had not done so...If he did, that is. So, I think you should google his number and call him up. Put him on the spot...I'd want to hear the ensuing hilarity. For sure!

insufficient to relate how much damage I think he does as he agitates people by stirring up dissension.
Here are two quotes that summarize my feelings about what he does:
Hatred of enemies is easier and more intense than love of friends. But from men who are more anxious to injure opponents than to benefit the world at large no great good is to be expected.
Bertrand Russell
Hatred is something peculiar. You will always find it strongest and most violent where there is the lowest degree of culture.
Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
His platform is one of extreme emotion, and negative or positive people feel alive by their emotions. Unfortunately he is not able to use that platform to actually help solve the problems he promotes.

If I had more time, or was so inclined, I'd find some Howard Zinn quotes encouraging dissent as well.
How unfortunate it is that when you disagree with the message, you assume that that message is fueled by hate of a person instead of love for a nation.
I think that is very telling about you. A little introspection might do you some good.

message across.
I will try one last time to translate my statement.
This man is making millions of dollars by promoting discord. It doesn't matter which side you are on. What matters is that this is ALL he does. If the love of his nation were his driving force, instead of how many millions he can make, he would actually be doing something about the issues. He will never do more, because this is the way he maintains his luxurious lifestyle.
I have absolutely no issue with disagreeing with someone, (hopefully that is obvious by my determination to get my point across) but if you REALLY want to come to an agreement, his way is not the way to do it.
So offends you?
Rush researches current affairs and reports his findings-- yes, in a bombastic, entertaining manner-- but he still spreads information. If his message promoted what you imagine America should look like, you'd accept his message as valid, and bombastic.
But you do not agree with his theses and this is why you impugn him so fervently. I know you probably feel that wealth distribution would solve many of America's ills, but not everyone else does. You sound like a Marxist. I know Marxism is the anti-thesis of capitalism , and people getting rich is upsetting for Marxists. However, the Marxist solution to capitalism is forcing them to relinquish their 'ill-gotten' gains... Even if that means violence , which it most likely would.
So what is better for our great nation: A radio talk show host loudly and emphatically telling the truth, or forcing everyone to live a mediocre life without employers, innovation, or drive to live the American dream?
