NFL Report: Titans Offer Defensive Coordinator Job to Jerry Gray

| by Off The Record

The Tennessee Titans recently named Mike Munchak as their new head coach. So, now it’s time for Munchak to fill out his staff. He already told offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger to go kick rocks, and now he seems ready to make another move.

Sources tell TitanInsider.com that the Titans have told Texas Longhorns defensive backs coach Jerry Gray that the defensive coordinator job is his if he wants it.

Apparently, Gray is still mulling the decision to come back to the NFL before even coaching a season for the University of Texas.

Gray coached with the Titans for four years before becoming the defensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills from 2001-2005. If he decides to take the job as defensive coordinator with the Titans, he will definitely be the successor to Chuck Cecil as defensive coordinator of the Titans.
