A report says embattled Egypytian President Hosni Mubarak will announce that he will not run for reelection in the fall.

Reuters reports Mubarak will make the annoucement in a speech Tuesday night. He is expected to say that he will step down following the election in September. In the meantime, he will stay in office to meet the demands of the protesters.

Al-Jazeera reports that the Egyptian Embassy in Tel Aviv is making preparations to welcome him into exile.

Egyptians have been taking to the streets for the past week, demanding the end of 30 years of Mubarak's rule. More than a quarter of a million people flooded Cairo's main square Tuesday in the largest demonstration thus far.

Egyptian military police have installed a barbed wire fence around Mubarak's presidential palace to keep protesters from entering.
