These town hall meets are become more and more testy. The latest confrontation was between a woman who compared President Obama to a "nazi," and Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank. Frank -- who is Jewish -- didn't hold back his contempt for the woman. Watch it here:
More than 500 people attended the meeting in Dartmouth Massachusetts Tuesday night. As evidenced by the video, it got rowdy at times, with people yelling and screaming their objections to Obama's health care reform bill. At one point, Frank asked, "Which one of you wants to yell next?"
Frank is the chairman of the House Financial Servics Committee, and thus is a major player in health care. While the woman's comment was arguably extremely offensive, did Frank handle it correctly? Is it appropriate for an elected official -- and a high profile one at that -- to say "Trying to have a conversation with you would be like trying to argue with a dining room table. I have no interest in doing it" and "On what planet do you spend most of your time?"
