TV Evangelist Says People Are 'Blaspheming' Trump (Video)

| by Michael Allen

TV evangelist and convicted felon Jim Bakker said on March 31 that people are "blaspheming" President Donald Trump (video below).

Bakker warned on "The Jim Bakker Show" that this type of blasphemy was one of the "signs of the last days" mentioned in the Bible, notes Right Wing Watch.

Bakker read from 2 Timothy 3:1-5, which according to Bible Gateway, states: "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God -- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people."

Bakker said people who take selfies are those who love themselves.

"We have pictures today by the hundreds of millions," Bakker stated. "And they're called selfies because we are lovers of self."

Bakker also warned about lovers of money and those who boast about themselves, and then defended Trump from blasphemers:

They're blaspheming Christianity, blaspheming Jesus. They're blaspheming the good that is done and even blaspheming a president who wants to do good. A president who wants to help us not to bring drugs into our country, wants to stop murderers and rapists, and literally to bring America back to a place where your kids could still walk the streets around your house at night.

There are mentions of blaspheme in the Bible, but they all involve blaspheming God, not a man or a politician.

Trump also received some support from evangelist Franklin Graham.

Graham admonished those who are investigating Russian influence in the 2016 presidential election, and possibly collusion with the Trump campaign, in the 2016 election in a lengthy Facebook post on April 4:

Get over it! The election was 5 months ago and some just won’t let it go. At first the media blamed WikiLeaks, then they blamed FBI Director Comey, then they blamed the Russians—even though all the intelligence services have said the Russians didn’t affect the outcome of the election.

If you really want to look at those who tried to influence the election, you need to start with CNN, CBS, ABC News, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News, The New York Times, Washington Post, George Soros, Hollywood—they all tried to influence the outcome of the election, one way or the other. It’s time to move on. Get over it.

Politicians who I respect like Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. John McCain, and some other Republicans need to stop looking backward and get behind the President as he tries to lead our country out of the deep hole that Washington politicians have created for us. President Donald J. Trump can’t do this on his own.

Work together to fix our broken healthcare system, to rebuild our depleted military, to secure our borders, and to overhaul our tax code which is so complicated that even the senators and congressmen have to have outside help to do their taxes! It’s time to get over the Russians—and move America forward! With your prayers and God’s help, that can happen.
