An unidentified Catholic priest rode a hoverboard during a Christmas Eve mass in Manila, Philippines, while singing, "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You." A cellphone video (below) of the priest was posted on Facebook where it went viral.
The priest received applause from churchgoers after he stepped off the hoverboard to give a final blessing. However, the Diocese of San Pablo, Laguna, Philippines, was not as enthused about the stunt. said in an online statement on Dec. 29:
"That was wrong," he wrote in an online statement Dec. 29, according to NBC News. "It is not a personal celebration where one can capriciously introduce something to get the attention of people."
"The priest said that it was a wake-up call for him," the diocese added. "He acknowledged that his action was not right and promised that it will not happen again."

The diocese also noted that the priest "will be out of the parish and will spend some time to reflect on this past event."
