Pennsylvania man Ernesto Hernandez was shocked when he sat down to dinner one night and noticed the image of Jesus on his chicken breast.
“I always kid to my wife she’s such a divine cook and I’m about to fork into my chicken and, lo and behold, there’s a picture of what looks like Jesus to me,” Hernandez said. “It really kind of took me a back a minute.”
The 49-year-old said his more cynical sister argued the face looks like Charles Manson.
Hernandez said he showed his wife and that the two laughed about it, but noted that he isn’t religious and he merely considers the image a sign. Hernandez said that he always looks for signs and that last summer he saw the face of Jesus in some clouds outside his home.
“I’m not a religious man, but I’m very spiritual,” Hernandez said. “I believe in oneness. I believe we’re all from the same source.”
After taking a picture of the face in his chicken, Hernandez shared the image with friends. Though he and his wife are having a lot of fun with it, he said they’ve felt inspired by it too. Currently, the two are looking for a way to preserve the chicken breast.
Hernandez said that if he could convey a message to people, it would be to pay attention to signs because they’re everywhere.
Hernandez’s discovery is just one in a long line of other holy appearances. One Texas man shared a picture of his breakfast burrito, which appeared to have a burn pattern in the shape of Jesus. In Ohio, one man insisted that a splattering of bird poop had taken the shape of Jesus’ head.
