Televangelist Pat Robertson was asked by a grandfather on "The 700 Club" on Oct. 16 if banning his gay grandson's boyfriend from Thanksgiving dinner was the right thing to do (video below).

Robertson praised the grandfather for "taking the right stand," notes RightwingWatch.

Robertson stated:

"I just believe that you're taking the right stand, otherwise you come an enabler and you're condoning that. Chances are, there's a real good chance that he might come out of that so-called lifestyle, but if you're going along with it, he says, 'Well, mom likes it, it's OK.'

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

"And he's trying to push you, he's trying to get you to affirmatively accept what he's doing. And you don't want to do it, so he's trying to force you to do something."

Robertson went on to compare the grandson's boyfriend to a stripper that one would bring home for Thanksgiving dinner. Robertson's co-host claimed it was "inappropriate" for the grandson to make the grandparents "go against their morals."

Robertson added:

"It's outrageous that he would do that, but that's what's happening. Let's push the envelope, push people to see how far they'll bend and what you're doing is exactly right, saying, 'No, I'm not going to let it happen.'"

During the same program, Robertson expressed his outrage over Christian business owners and government employees such as Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who are not allowed to discriminate against gay people based on religious beliefs, reports RightWingWatch (video below).

Robertson said:

"Believers should not be forced to do something they don't believe in. It is tyrannical to force somebody, and to force them to give money and pay taxes for something they abhor. And that's what's being done.

"And the believers, just in freedom, we shouldn't make homosexuals pay money to something they don't want to do. The homosexuals don't just want to be left alone, now they want to come out and stick it to the Christians.

"They've made it clear and it's an organized thrust throughout this nation to force conformity, florists, bakers."
