The Stone County Sheriff's office in Missouri announced yesterday that they have placed "In God We Trust" stickers on their cruisers.
The Friendly Atheist notes that the law enforcement agency posted pictures of the stickers on their vehicles and this caption on Facebook:
I am proud to announce that all of the Stone County Sheriff's Office Patrol vehicles now have "In God we trust" on the back. This became our National Motto in 1956 and is on all of our currency. There has been no better time than now to proudly display our National Motto!
The Stone County Sheriff's website includes a rewritten verse from the Bible, Romans 13:3-4.

Additionally, Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader writes on the site:
I am concerned with the tone of the Obama administration with respect to the Second Amendment Rights of American citizens. It appears to me and many Americans that there is a genuine desire on the part of the Obama administration to restrict the Second Amendment rights of law abiding American citizens in the interest of curbing gun violence in our nation. Throughout our nation’s history the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights has served as the very foundation of our free society. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution has long guaranteed our citizens the right to keep and bear arms and is central to our ability to live in a free society. Any attempt to restrict these Second Amendment rights through executive order is unconstitutional and outright assault on the United States Constitution.
We refuse to participate, or allow our law-abiding citizens to be criminalized through constitutionally repugnant actions by misguided intentions or politicians.
In closing, let me say that taking guns away from the tens of millions of law-abiding citizens will not solve the problem. One needs simply to examine history of all countries where guns were taken from the citizens to realize criminal activity increases and good citizens are left defenseless.

Rader doesn't cite any evidence to back up his claims about the Obama administration, but the Violence Policy Center released a 2013 study that found states with the highest gun ownership and weakest gun laws had the highest rates of gun deaths.
