Franklin Graham: Christians Should Control School Board

| by Michael Allen

Evangelist Franklin Graham announced on May 12 that he wants Christians to control school boards "within the next four to six years," and compared the 9/11 terrorist attack to America's "moral implosion."

Graham made his comments during an interview with Fox News radio host Todd Starnes. The two were speaking about the U.S. Department of Justice's May 9 lawsuit against North Carolina over the state's anti-LGBT law, reports Right Wing Watch.

Graham stated:

It's the Justice Department, which is President [Barack] Obama. And so we have to understand where this comes from. It's coming from President Obama and his administration. President Obama has sold himself completely to the gay and lesbian community and they represent a very small portion of our society, less than two percent.

While the president names the U.S. Attorney General, with approval from the U.S. Senate, the Department of Justice operates independently from the White House.

Graham went on to describe "transgenders" as a "man waking up in the morning and saying, 'I feel like I'm a woman today. And therefore I'm going to go use a girl's locker room at high school or I'm going to use women's bathroom at a supermarket.'"

Graham then added a criminal element, saying: "It gives an opportunity for sexually perverted people to take advantage of women who will be physically weaker, young girls, who are vulnerable."

Graham, who has declared that he is non-partisan at his Decision America rallies at state capitols, went on to attack President Obama and the Democratic Party several times.

Starnes suggested these could be the "end times," and then Graham made his 9/11 comparison:

The country is imploding. We are seeing a moral implosion. Just like we saw the World Trade Center on 9/11 when the planes hit the tower, they imploded, they fell from within, and this is what’s happening to our country, we’re falling within. Our foundations have been weakened by immorality and it’s beginning to crumble.

Graham promoted his rallies, which he said were not just for the presidential race, but also for Congress, local government and school board elections:

I want Christians running for school boards. I want the school boards of America in the hands of evangelical Christians within the next four to six years.

And it can happen and that will have a huge impact because so many school districts now are controlled by wicked, evil people, and the gays and lesbians, and I keep bringing their name up, but they are at the forefront of this attack against Christianity in America.

Graham also attacked President Obama and the LGBT community on his Facebook on May 13:

Who does President Barack Obama think he is? The sultan of Washington? Does he think he can just make a “decree” and we will bow down and simply obey?

The decree he released today says that all schools across the country have to allow students to choose the restrooms and locker rooms according to “their internal sense of gender.” If schools don’t comply, he threatens loss of funding and lawsuits from the federal government.

What about the privacy and protection of all the other students? Isn’t this discrimination against all of them? This opens up bathrooms to sexual predators and perverts. A decree does not carry the force of law–that's the job of Congress.

The president obviously must have no fear of God, who made us and created us male and female. I hope that school districts across this nation will defy President Obama and his administration’s radical progressive agenda to promote and advance the sin of homosexuality and the LGBT agenda.
