Two prominent Christian evangelists hoped House Republicans would repeal the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, and replace it (video below).
Evangelist Pat Robertson predicted on "The 700 Club" on March 24 that the American Health Care Act, also known as Trumpcare, was going to pass, and give President Donald Trump an important victory, reports Right Wing Watch:
I have a prediction to make. You can hold me to it if I'm wrong, you can say you missed it. The health care bill is going to pass, is getting modified, the Freedom Caucus is going to get the modifications they are asking for...
But my prediction is it's going to pass, they’re going to give Trump a victory. It’s going to go through the Senate, and we’re all going to rejoice that we’re paying less on health care. Now, that's my prediction, and wait until tomorrow, you can prove me wrong if I'm wrong.

The Congressional Budget Office's report on the GOP plan said it would result in 24 million more uninsured Americans by 2024, reports The New York Times. The CBO also warned that Trumpcare would, at least in the short run, increase premiums, especially for older Americans.
Drew Altman, CEO of the Kaiser Family Foundation, wrote in Axios that the "average deductible for a typical plan in the non-group market under the GOP plan would be about $1,550 higher in 2017 than it would have been under the Affordable Care Act."
Low-premium, high-deductible health plans, according to Altman, would ultimately cost consumers more in out-of-pocket expenses.
Evangelist Franklin Graham asked for prayer on his Facebook page on March 25 about the vote to repeal and replace Obamacare, and insisted a "change" had to be made:

Our politicians are set to vote today on the American Health Care Act, to "repeal and replace" Obamacare. Pray that they will do the right thing for the American people. Obamacare is going to fail regardless, so a change has to be made.
Many of our politicians are weak morally and spiritually, corrupted by greed and power. Join me in praying for them today as they take this crucial vote. America needs healing that can come from God alone -- our hearts need to be healed.
Obamacare is not in a "death spiral," as some Republicans have said, according to the CBO's analysis, reports The New York Times.
The CBO said that the health insurance markets should remain stable under Obamacare as long as there are no major changes.
