Pastor: Christians Should Boycott Starbucks Over Pro-Gay Marriage Stance
SAN JOSE, CA -- What if Starbucks lost 80% of its customers? Christians across the USA are boycotting Starbucks for promoting homosexual 'marriage' in Washington State. There is an 80% Christian majority in the USA and 1-2% homosexuals.
"Christians are upset with Starbucks for turning against God, but we are glad to know that Starbucks doesn't pretend to be for Christians," said Pastor Steven Andrew, who is president of USA Christian Ministries. He calls every Christian and church to boycott Starbucks. Leviticus 22:18 says, "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination."
"This boycott is important because God blesses those who obey Him and judges those who don't obey Him (2 Chronicles 19:2)," he adds.
Don't expect to hear sermons with "grab your Starbucks" or to see Starbucks served at churches. "Starbucks is no longer fashionable. If your church still uses Starbucks, then your pastor is a friend of the world," he adds. God calls those who oppose Him "haters of God" (Romans 1:30).
It is hoped that Christians will quickly share this boycott with their church.
Starbucks overlooked the health concerns for homosexuals. CDC reports that one in five homosexuals have HIV, with many unaware they are sick. The average homosexual dies at 42 years and has a higher depression rate, Cameron reports.
"Jesus loves homosexuals. I wish every person would receive Jesus' forgiveness for sins by His blood," pastor Steven Andrew says.
He believes pastors across the USA should speak up. Homosexual 'laws' remove Americans' Christian freedom. "Why is Starbucks against our Founding Father's and God's liberty?" he asks. George Washington, John Adams and John Jay made the Christian laws that Starbucks wants to make non-Christian.
In his book "Making A Strong Christian Nation" he explains how George Washington made the law to court martial homosexuals to have God's blessings. Washington, said, "...the Commander in Chief...with Abhorrence and Detestation of such Infamous Crimes [sodomy]..." See: USA Christian Ministries Founding Fathers Quotes about Homosexuality for more information.
The Christian majority is standing up again. We see Rick Santorum's rise and surprise Iowa win, the growth of the pro-life movement and bold new pastors.
"Starbucks can follow Satan if they want to. However, pastors are to help Christians. Are you on the Lord's side? Will you help the USA be blessed by God?" he asks.
Last week, pastor Steven Andrew called the USA to repentance in "God's State of the Union."

I don't think religion should have any authority over government. All people are equal. The only law should be don't hurt anyone. Hating someone/a business because of who they love is hurtful and I don't think Jesus would approve.

Hey... the last gallup poll had a majority of americans supporting gay marriage, so-called "christians" included.
80% boycott levels? ya... right. The biggest denomination of christians are the Catholics. The anglicans actually ordain gay clergy.
In no way is there one unified christian opposition to gay marriage.
Starbucks is no different than any other company. They want to sell more coffee. So is it beneficial for them to dislike any group of people? No, that would mean they would lose customers.

1. MOST of those calling themselves 'christians' don't care in the least what Starbucks policies on gay marriage is. 2. Starbucks isn't a Christian company that I know of, so they are not ours to judge, but Gods. 3. WE are supposed to go out into the world with all its sinners and take the gospel to them. Little hard to do that when we're sitting on our throne judging sinners from on high.
Sorry but I just don't see Christians very often who DO things they way Jesus and Paul did them and TOLD us to do them.
With all due respect, this is a pretty crappy story. Not only does it read as if written by a 13-year-old (sorry to all you 13-year-olds out there), but it's also a bit confusing.
Starbucks is bad for supporting gay marriage (according to Pastor Steven Andrew) and those who do so are "haters of God", but "Jesus loves homosexuals"!
So true Christians are supposed to kill homosexuals, but Jesus (the original Christian) loves them? O...kayyy...
The original article mentions that Starbucks supports diversity, but is criticized for not supporting pro-life, and other Christian-based groups.
I think the reason is this: many Christian-based groups, like the one in the story above, are exclusive, not inclusive; discriminatory and bigoted, not open and tolerant of others.
Pastor Andrew asks, "Are you on the Lord's side?" And that's what it's always about: who's SIDE you're on. Us against them. This is how wars begin.
Help me out here...I completely missed the part where anyone suggested that "true Christians are supposed to kill homosexuals"
pastor Andrew,
God gave Man free will. Do not get upset that free will is used.
I think that this was a really interesting story. I have enjoyed this so much and I have learned alot. I think companies like this care about making money and not god. Its just business for them.

"What if Starbucks lost 80% of its customers? There is an 80% Christian majority in the USA and 1-2% homosexuals." 80%, therefore 80%? When are these people going to come to grips with the fact that many Christians SUPPORT GAY RIGHTS, and even gay marriage--and some of them ARE gay?
Yeah, churches are here to help people...just like they helped Nick Santino.
Everything I do, I do it for you.
This is crazy. I think we should worry about problems like the thousands of people that starve to death every day on this planet. There are some bigger fish to fry.

I think people should have the right to do whatever they want as long as they are private. I dont feel like I need to announce that I am not gay. Its a weird topic.

Holy frickin' crap! What a mess. Who's Cameron, by the way? The Starbuck's guy?
What's going on with : "If your church still uses Starbucks, then your pastor is a friend of the world". Doesn't sound like such a bad thing to be "a friend of the world".
Cameron appears to saying that "Starbucks overlooked the health concerns for homosexuals". They sell coffee for crying out loud. If Cameron figures out that caffeine is tied to an increased risk of heart failure, is he going to be worried about Starbuck's lack of concern for that segment of the population, too? And what does his assertion that the "average homosexual dies at 42 years and has a higher depression rate" have anything to do with selling or drinking coffee? Maybe homosexuals like coffee because it helps them deal with these (so-called) problems of their's.
Then there's this : "Homosexual 'laws' remove Americans' Christian freedom". What laws are we talking about? Who authorized these laws and how come We the People are not generally aware of them? What freedom is being removed? Christians can't go into Starbuck's because the gay might rub off? I'm not understanding.
And what's up with George? Seeing that he got all confused and "made the law to court martial homosexuals to have God's blessings". Are we talking about some hidden homosexual army that's planning to take over our country? Nevermind that their army is no bigger than 1-2% of the population and that they die young and are all terminally depressed. Now we've got to court martial them so they can get God's blessing? I thought you just had to pray for that blessing? Wow ... I'm getting confused ... my head is starting to hurt.
We end with "Rick Santorum's rise and surprise Iowa win" and stunning fall back into the abyss of oblivion ...
I haven't read the original article, but I intend to. Hopefully it's got pictures and diagrams so I can follow it.
