Virginia Church Worships In The Nude (Video)

A small Virginia congregation, which doesn't concern itself with material things, worships in the nude even during the freezing winter weather.

Pastor Allen Parker says churchgoers at White Tail Chapel in Ivor show up half-clothed and completely nude in order to bear their souls to Christ. Some in the congregation, however, are fully clothed. Turnout on Sunday is usually much greater in the summer months.

Parker claims churchgoers aren’t concerned with the flesh of others.

"There's not a feeling that you have to be better than one another, physically," Parker told NBC 12. "We're humans, we have scars, we have what we have … it's learning to love and accept that."

One couple, who attends the church every Sunday and married in the chapel, says it has given them a Christian community with none of the pretense of a traditional Christian church.

"Once we were married, and we were here, this whole place became our family," said Katie Church, who wasn’t a nudist before she met her husband Robert Church. "I mean, I feel like I can turn to anyone in this church, or even in this park, and they will be there to help me."

"People are more open as far as hearing the word of God, and listening to the preacher speaking the word of God," Robert Church said. "There are people that have great means, great wealth, and there's others who don't. But you wouldn't know. Everybody treats everybody equally."
