Video: Rick Santorum Says "We Need a Jesus Candidate"
Speaking to a Tea Party group at Windham High School in New Hampshire on Thursday, GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum told the crowd that during a radio interview earlier in the week, a man had phoned in to tell him, “We don’t need a Jesus candidate; we need an economic candidate.”
“My answer to that was, we always need a Jesus candidate,” Santorum said (video below).
“I don’t mean that in saying we need a Jesus candidate, someone who’s a Christian, but we need someone who believes in something more than themselves, some higher power, some god,” he added. “When we say, ‘God bless America,’ do we mean it or do we just say it?”

This is a man who wants the government to prosecute gay male adults for consensual sex. He wants to ban ccontraceptives, indeed, he is horrified at the usage of them. How clearly does he have to spell out that he is a pure theocrat? I thought Bachmann was bad, but Santorum clearly is the bigget theocrat in the field. Of all the GOP candidates, only Huntsman has stated explcitly that evolution is true. We have a field of GOP candidates where a belief in evolution is controversial!! 150 years of science just ignored for a belief that the Flinstones was a documentary! There is not only a war on sciene in the GOP, there is a war on facts and reason.

The two party political system in the U.S. is a joke. They're two sides of the same coin.
