Video: Conservative Icon Phyllis Schlafly Falsely Claims President Obama Doesn't Say the Word 'Creator'

Appearing on the American Family Association's radio program, recently, Eagle Forum founder and conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly plugged her new book 'No Higher Power: Obama's War on Religious Freedom.'

At the time, she made the claim that President Obama omits the word "creator" every time he quotes from the Declaration of Independence.

Schlafly appeared on Sandy Rios' radio program, recently, and made the same claim.

Schlafly said: "Every time he recites the Declaration of Independence, he omits the word 'Creator.' Now we all know what's in the Declaration and it's very strange, you can't blame it on a slip of the tongue or blame it on the teleprompter because he does it all the time."

However, put together a compilation of President Obama using the word "creator" multiple times when quoting the Declaration of Independence.

Schlafly has a long history of making outrageous statements. In 2007, during a speech at Bates College, she disavowed the idea that a man could rape his wife: "By getting married, the woman has consented to sex, and I don't think you can call it rape."
