Tim Tebow Scheduled to Address Anti-Gay Liberty University
New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow recently canceled an appearance at Pastor Robert Jeffress’ church in Dallas, Texas, because of “new information” that he received.
Tebow never said what the “new information” was, but it was likely Pastor Jeffress' attacks on homosexuals, Catholics, Mormonism, Islam and President Obama.
However, now Tebow is scheduled to address Liberty University later this month.
Liberty University was founded by the late televangelist Jerry Falwell, who blamed gays and liberals for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks (which he later recounted).
Liberty University bans gay students and shut down its College Democrats club over their view on gay rights and then claimed that there was no censorship.
According to RightWingWatch.org, Liberty University’s Vice President and Law School Dean Mathew Staver has defended the criminalization of homosexuality in Malawi, falsely claimed President Obama supports “forced homosexuality" and said that gay rights laws are part of an Antichrist spirit that will lead to the destruction of America (video below).
