Ron Paul: Obama Trampling on Religious Freedom

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is weighing in on President Obama's birth control mandate in the health care law. He said Obama is trampling on religious freedom. Paul appeared on CNN on Thursday:

Does religious freedom include the right to subjugate women? ...endorse female genital mutilation? ...denigrate homosexuality? ...support slavery? ...sanction "my religion" over your'n with violence?
Our Constitution separates Church from State but we've learned and adjudicated over 200 years that there are some issues that the people prefer over the church. Slavery, women's emancipation, reluctantly - gay rights, etc.
Ron Paul compromises his libertarianism with this outburst.
I support many of Paul's libertarian views, but in this episode he kowtows to the electorate.
