Religious Right Attacks Companies Failing to Mention Christmas, but not Chick-fil-A

| by Michael Allen

The American Family Association has a 'Naughty or Nice' list which asks customers to boycott companies which do mention "Christmas" in their advertising.

The Christian conservative Liberty Counsel recently announced its 'Friend or Foe Christmas Campaign' targeting companies which supposedly censor Christmas.

However, one company that has been left off these 'War on Christmas" lists is Chick-fil-A, which does not mention the word "Christmas" in its sales and advertising material, reports RightWingWatch.org.

Chick-fil-A recently released a statement celebrating the “holiday season,” but did not include the word “Christmas." Chick-fil-A also issued a press release about “holiday gift giving,” which also failed to mention “Christmas."

Chick-fil-A's online ads do not include the "Christmas" either.

However, Chick-fil-A does oppose gay marriage, so that may be the reason they are are not being attacked.
