Speaking on the 700 Club this morning, Pat Robertson claimed that "simple" foreigners were more likely to experience God's miracles than "sophisticated" Americans (video below).
Robertson was answering a viewer's question about why miracles like “people raised from the dead, blind eyes open, lame people walking happen with great frequency in Africa, and not here in the United States,” reports RightWingWatch.org.
Popular VideoCongress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?
"What can we do to encourage those things to happen here? Is America too far gone for miracles like this?" the viewer asked.
“Well, we are so sophisticated, we think we’ve got everything figured out. We know about evolution, we know about Darwin, we know about all these things that says 'God isn’t real,' we know about all this stuff,” said Robertson. “In many schools, in the most advanced schools, we have been inundated with skepticism and secularism.”
“And overseas they are simple and humble. You tell them 'God loves them' and they say 'Okay. he loves me.' You say 'God will do miracles' they say 'Okay, we believe him. ' And that's what God is looking for. That's why they have miracles."
