Organized Homosexuals Threaten Religious Liberty, Says Focus on the Family (Video)

| by Michael Allen

Focus on the Family vice president Tim Goeglein (a former aide to President George W. Bush) was recently part of a webinar produced by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in St. Louis, Mo.

During the teleconference, Goeglein warned his audience about the "political agenda of organized homosexuals," noted RightWingWatch.org (video below).

“One of the things that perhaps Christians and Jews and others have not fully internalized is that the political agenda of organized homosexuals in America is one of the great threats to our religious liberty,” stated Goeglein.

"There's sort of a new era of intolerance against those of us who are men and women of faith," added Goeglein.

Goeglein then lamented how Christian florists, bakers and photographers were not able to discriminate against gay customers and how that was severely limiting the faith of Christians.

Last week, Focus on the Family's political arm CitizenLink claimed that Christians were silenced by gay activists, reports GoodAsYou.org (audio below).

"In fact, there are now numerous examples of [gay] activists using the artificial change in [marriage] definition to punish and silence those who disagree," claimed CitizenLink's Stuart Shepard.

"An honest assessment of what's now happening indicates that such silencing and discrimination against Christians was the goal of activists from the beginning," added Shepard, who gave no examples of this "silencing."
