Christian lawyer Matt Barber recently claimed that liberalism supports adultery, bestiality and incest.
Barber spoke to radio host Steve Deace this week about a recent article that he wrote on his website Barbwire.com that states: "liberalism violates all Ten Commandments."
In regards to the Seventh Commandment, adultery, Barber wrote on his website:
This means all sexual immorality as identified in the scriptures, to include marital infidelity, fornication, homosexuality, bestiality, incest, et al. Liberalism, it seems, embraces all perversions of God’s design for human sexuality. Central to liberalism is moral relativism. When it comes to sex, you can do no wrong because there is no wrong.
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
However, the Ten Commandments do not extend adultery to the other sexual acts mentioned by Barber, but he repeated the fallacy to Deace (video below).
“[Biblical sex is] between a man and a woman within the bonds of marriage," said Barber, reports RawStory.com. "Anything outside of that would have fallen under adultery. Liberalism pushes values-neutral, so-called comprehensive sex education. 'If it feels good, do it, kids, just be safe about it.’”
In reality, the Bible makes very clear distinctions between fornication (sex between unmarried people) and adultery (sex outside of marriage by a married person).
Later, Barber stated, “Bestiality, incest, and all. Liberalism, it seems, embraces all perversions of God’s design for human sexuality, which, again, is only appropriate within the bonds of marriage between a man and a woman.”
