Husbands Spank Wives in 'Christian Domestic Discipline' Lifestyle

| by Michael Allen

An alternative lifestyle called "Christian Domestic Discipline" is reportedly being embraced by thousands of couples.

Christian Domestic Discipline teaches that the husband has absolute dominion over his wife and includes giving her spankings. While it might sound kinky, this type of spanking is actually done to discipline the wife (much like a child) for infractions such as spending too much money or not doing chores.

It turns out President Trump's budget has $2 trillion error in it:

Jim Alsdurf, an author and forensic psychologist, claims that Christian Domestic Discipline is practiced by emotionally disturbed men.

“No fool in his right mind would buy this as a legitimate way to have a relationship,” Alsdurf told The Daily Beast. “A relationship that infantilizes a woman is one that clearly draws a more pathological group of people. If people want to spank each other, go ahead. The problem of course, is if it’s done in a controlling and a mildly abusive way. If they’re not done in a healthy way they can become about abuse and control.”

“It’s sick,” adds Wendy Dickson, who runs an emergency shelter for women in Evanston, Ill.

Not surprisingly, there are websites dedicated to the controversial lifestyle.

ChristianDomesticDiscipline.net claims:

A Christian Domestic Discipline marriage is set up according to the guidelines set forth in the Holy Bible, meaning the husband has authority over his wife within the bounds of God's Word and enforces that authority, if need be, through discipline including but not limited to spanking.

ChristianDomesticDiscipline.com states:

A Christian Domestic Discipline (CDD) marriage is simply a traditional, male-led, Christian marriage which utilizes aspects of Domestic Discipline. It is set up according to Biblical standards.

However, there are no verses in the Bible that actually command a husband to discipline his wife or spank her.

XOJane.com reports: “Most of the women who write about their CDD experiences online are not complaining. Many of them report feeling extremely calm and relaxed after being disciplined and believe it is an expression of their husband caring about them and their marriage, enough to help them modify their behavior.”
