Did Pastor Robert Jeffress Slam Tim Tebow for 'Wimping Out?'
Pastor Robert Jeffress spoke to his congregation at First Baptist Dallas Church on Sunday about “a wild week,” in which quarterback Tim Tebow canceled his April 28 appearance at the church (video below).
Last week on Twitter, Tebow cited “new information” as the reason he canceled the date.
In the past, Pastor Jeffress has claimed that Catholicism is Satanic, Mormonism and Islam are from the “pit of Hell" and said President Obama was “paving the way for the future reign of the anti-christ.”
According to CBS New York, Jeffress thanked his supporters on Sunday and appeared to take a shot at Tebow: “I am grateful for men of God like these who are willing to stand up and act like men rather than wimping out when it gets a little controversial and an inconvenient thing to stand for the truth. God bless men like that.”
Last week on the American Family Association's radio show, Pastor Jeffress said: “Tim, what he said to me was, ‘Because of personal reasons and professional reasons, I need to steer clear of controversy right now, but I would love to come back to your church at some time in the future.’“
Jeffress added that Tebow was “under incredible pressure” and his church “would never condemn” the Jets quarterback.

Tim Tebow is a fine young man. I have never heard a negative or hateful word leave his lips, and I doubt I ever will. Anyone who would put "Tim Tebow" and "wimp" in the same sentence simply does not know anything about Tim Tebow. Christians all over the world should be enormously proud of this young messenger of faith because he delivers a message of hope not hate. Isn't that what Jesus wanted?

Are you seious? I'm not huge into religion but i'm pretty sure in the bible it talks about peace and not hating, loving all. As a christian I believe they are not suppossed to hate other religions but accept them. just because someone is a certain religious faith does not mean he is going to hell and that it is bad. And President Obama is not leading the way to the Anti-Christ. I am tired of hearing these religious fanatics talk about how one's religion, a cetain person they don't like, or I.E. Beyonce's superbowl performance will lead them to hell, bring the anti-christ, or have bad things happen to them.
